Scrappy Cats Yarn, A New Series to Benefit A Place to Bark Animal Rescue!

A Place to Bark - Bernie and NoelAs a lifelong animal lover, volunteer and rights crusader, I know all too well that rescue organizations are in constant need of additional funds. In an effort to bring greater awareness to the issue and to help generate funds for one of the nation’s leading rescue organizations, I've created this new line of handspun yarns called “Scrappy Cats”, from which I'll be donating 100% of the net proceeds to A PLACE TO BARK animal rescue. Each is a one of a kind work, handspun with a variety of materials, and inspired by the multitude of the cats who have come into my life through the years.

A PLACE TO BARK is an organization based in Portland, Tennessee dedicated to the welfare of animals. Founded by fellow artist Bernie Berlin in 2001, A PLACE TO BARK primarily works with Animal Control Agencies to rescue high risk animals from shelters and foster them until they are healthy and ready for adoption. A PLACE TO BARK is a 501(c) (3) registered non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization where all donations go directly to the care of the animals. Additional details of the organization, including the animals that will be helped, can be found at http://www.aplacetobark.com.
